ABOUT

Louisa J. Curtis is a writer, creative consultant, as well as an event producer, presenter and panel moderator. Born in England and based in New York City, Louisa formed “Chatterbox Enterprises” after spending a number of years in the commercial photography industry, to offer both photographers and illustrators a variety of creative consulting services – ranging from portfolio and website reviews, image feedback and editing, to customized marketing packages designed to help refine your vision, target the appropriate audience as well as create and implement a predominantly, but by no means entirely, Internet-driven business plan.

Her experience ranges from working with the prestigious and still going strong Archive Magazine, to the once powerful but now “extinct” source book, The Black Book, and from photographer & artist representatives Watson Spierman Creative (formerly Watson & Spierman Productions), to the PDN online portfolio service PhotoServe, and their independent stock photography network IPNStock, as well as much more than just database services, ADBASE and Agency Access.

Louisa loves to write and publishes her own popular monthly newsletter, the ChatterBulletin, which is sent out to assorted photography industry creatives & service providers, as well as to her ever-growing list of photographers. Each newsletter begins with her ChatterLog, an article with a ‘theme”, but if you miss one, all the bulletins are archived on her ChatterBlog. She also writes a regular ChatterCorner article for the Features section of PhotoServe, which is then sent out in their newsletter to an even bigger list each month!

Louisa is a recommended industry consultant on the Agency Access website, and has reviewed numerous photography portfolios for organizations such as APA, ASMP, The Palm Springs Photo Festival @ Photo Plus Expo, and the SPE National Conference. Besides her creative and marketing consulting, Louisa has also produced and presented a number of programs for the photography community both locally in New York City and around the country.
